Monday 17th June 2024
Time: 1.15 pm - 4.15pm

A half-day, interactive workshop that creates thinking time for you to kick-start the development of a grant or bid.
Targeted at researchers with relatively little experience in grant and bid writing.

Led by Prof. Lewis Halsey, University of Roehampton
Lewis has a wide experience of the bids and grants writing process, and has secured over £2 million of competitive funding.

 

Detailed Description

What to expect

·  How to get started - where do you start, what is your project idea and developing it

·  Identifying and developing academic and external collaborators/network

·  Gaining some momentum in thinking of good grant ideas

·  Thinking about funders - who might support your research?

·  Planning - thinking about resourcing - skills / who is needed

·  Top tips for grant writing

This session focuses on getting you going with grant ideas; future sessions will focus more on grant craftsmanship.
