Over the last few years, legislation has been introduced to safeguard children and young people, namely Working Together to Safeguard Children 2015, Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) and the Children Act 2004. These Acts place duties on organisations to ensure they have regard for the need to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.

This course informs students on how to safeguard children, young people, and practitioners in the workplace, as well as how to respond to evidence or concerns about abuse. It supports the appropriate safeguarding training of staff and is ideal for supporting a role in the workplace, including those in voluntary or unpaid roles.
