REF 2029: Whats Changing and What It Means for Strategy

Description

These sessions will provide a focused overview of REF 2029 following the latest announcements, outlining the structure of the exercise, key changes, and what comes next. Alongside this, they will draw on direct experience from serving on the People, Culture and Environment (PCE) Pilot panels, offering practical insight into how submissions are assessed and what distinguishes stronger approaches.

The emphasis will be on helping colleagues think ahead. The sessions are designed to support early strategic reflection on contributions to knowledge and understanding, engagement and impact, and strategy, people and research environment, and to consider how individual and collective activity aligns with the evolving expectations of REF 2029.
