Calling all Early Career Researchers!!

Do you want to make grant writing a strong part of your academic career, but you’re not sure how to get started and what it entails?  Do you have relatively little experience in grant and bid writing, and want support in getting over the first hurdles?

Now is your chance....

Take advantage of this excellent opportunity - a half-day event that will help you kick-start becoming a grant writer (there will be teas, coffees and biscuits as well!).

This is a highly interactive workshop that creates thinking time for you to begin the development of a grant or bid, with the help of an expert grant writer and your colleagues. Get in the zone together!

The workshop will be led by Prof. Lewis Halsey, University of Roehampton

Lewis has a wide experience of the bids and grants writing process, and has secured over £2 million of competitive funding.

Part 2:
  • Time to get the grant ideas flowing
  • What lucky organisation will get to fund your work?
  • Some key points about grant contents
  • Using your time well
  • This session focuses on getting you going with grant ideas; another session focuses more on grant craftsmanship.
