Overview

The School of Humanities comprises the Subjects of English, History and Politics, Law and Theology, Philosophy and Religious Studies.

We offer a supportive and engaging environment led by enthusiastic teaching staff who use their professional experience and research expertise to inform student learning.  The School of Humanities is home to world-leading research, and students are part of an exciting research-active community.

Our selection of Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses seeks to equip students with the necessary skills and understanding to embrace an ever-changing world.

The School of Humanities is based in the idyllic surroundings of our Hope Park campus which has been specifically designed to provide the best learning environment for our students from dedicated study and social spaces to an extensive catalogue of specialist texts and materials housed in our library.

Level C students in the School of Humanities have the opportunity to visit the university's outdoor education centre called Plas Caerdeon for a residential trip for three days.

This year the Humanities trip will take place from Wednesday 6 March to Friday 8 March. It is open to anyone studying at Level C in the School.

Description

Level C English Literature students can sign up to see Shelagh Delaneys play, A Taste of Honey, at Manchesters Royal Exchange theatre on Wednesday, 10th April at 7.30pm. Train tickets will also be provided for students travelling to / from Liverpool on the day, leaving Liverpool at around. 5pm and returning at around 11pm.

*There is no charge for the trip, but a £10 deposit is required on booking and will be refunded if you attend.*
