Course Description

The Morality module explores the principles and develops the skills of moral decision-making with relation to Catholic teaching and the universal search for what constitutes the human good. It applies Christian understanding about moral norms to selected contemporary moral issues and professional practice in a Catholic school. Module topics include: What is Morality?; Scripture and Moral law; Natural Law & Conscience; Moral Development; Catholic Social Teaching; Sanctity of Life; and Catholic Sexual Ethics. The module assessment (1500 word essay) invites reflective thinking, wider reading and critical writing about Christian Morality.
