Arts & HumanitiesConference DinnerDescriptionArchbishop Desmond Tutu Centre for War and Peace Studies Annual Conference 2015 “Narratives of Peace and Conflict” Conference Dinner will take place on Wednesday, 1 July 2015, 7pm, Great Hall (Creative Campus) Option 1 - Starter - Scallop & mackerel tarter with sea asparagus & seared cucumber finished with caviar cream dressing Main – Loin of lamb with a rosemary & parsley crust served with fondant potatoes and baby carrots finished with a light jus Dessert – Tarte aux citron, garnished with fresh raspberries Option 2 - (Vegan) Starter– Grilled asparagus with almond pesto served with wild rocket Salad and thyme dressing Main- Roast fennel and courgette set on to a tomato fondue with pan fried herb polenta finished with rosemary oil Dessert- Chocolate and avocado mousse topped with fresh strawberries Option 3 (Meat Dish Gluten Free) Starter- Smoked chicken & chive cream cheese tian served with a black olive & herb dressing Main- Corn fed chicken with lemon, thyme & pancetta spring onion mashed potatoes and glazed baton carrots finished with a red wine jus Dessert - Traditional summer fruits pudding * All meals will include wine for diners or alternatively jugs of freshly squeezed orange juice. ** Freshly brewed tea and coffee with mints will be served to all diners following the meal. *** Conference organisers have attempted to cater to the dietary requirements of all diners, however please accept our apologies in advance if we have been unable to offer an option which is suitable to you. Some of the biggest names in jazz will perform, bringing their unique and innovative instrumental sounds to the region’s jazz fans. These include a whole range of ticketed events including concerts by Jason Rebello, The Impossible Gentlemen, Unfurl, Blue Touch Paper, Stuart McCallum and Get the Blessing.
